Intensive Classes

In this class, the instructor walks you through the outline of the course. You will cover the major cases and set out the steps on how the different types of judicial review should be performed. This course includes the latest trilogy of cases handed down by the Supreme Court of Canada (Vavilov, Bell-NFL, and Canada Post). We will spend time discussing the most common reasons why people fail these exams.

Exam Workshop

We concentrate solely on solving exam questions in the exam workshop. In order to attend this workshop, students must have completed their studies or taken our intensive classes. The exam workshop for this course is focused on issue spotting. One of the greatest challenges faced by most NCA candidates for this subject is being able to properly craft their answers. The NCA often obscures the questions and hides the issues in the fact-patterns. The exam workshop will be based on the NCA sample exam posted on the NCA website as of August, 2022. You will also be discussing a previous NCA sample exam which will be emailed to you before the workshop.

This class includes:

  • 3 hour live session

  • Past NCA sample exam papers – Going through past exam questions and assisting you as to how to answer them

  • Opportunity to submit a written answer to an assigned question and have your instructor grade it and offer you feedback

  • Students may have the opportunity to work in small groups on an assigned task under the instructors guidance
