Intensive Classes

This course will focus mainly on the substantive aspects of the law. We will briefly discuss procedural issues, but our primary focus is on preparing you to answer problem-based questions and learning how to utilize the criminal code so you can be effective on the exam. You are required to attend the course with a physical copy of the criminal code.

The class includes:

Exam Workshop

We concentrate solely on solving exam questions in the exam workshop. In order to attend this workshop, students must have completed their studies or taken our intensive classes. Criminal law fact-patterns can get quite complex with the introduction of multiple participants committing various potential crimes. The exam workshop is designed to take you through the NCA sample exam posted to the NCA website as of August, 2022. Students will have the opportunity to be involved in a group moot exercise in the workshop.

This class includes:

• 3.5 hour live session

• Past NCA sample exam papers – Going through past exam questions and assisting you as to how to answer them

• Opportunity to submit a written answer to an assigned question and have your instructor grade it and offer you feedback

• Students may have the opportunity to work in small groups on an assigned task under the instructor’s guidance
