Intensive Classes
This course gives an overview of the fundamental principles of Canadian property law, as applied in Canadian common law jurisdictions with summaries of important case law. The focus is on real property and concentrates on the history of property ownership and the transition to today's current modern system of land ownership. Concepts covered in the material include: establishing physical boundaries, types of property possession, aboriginal property ownership differences, common and equitable interests in land, how to distinguish between leases and licenses are all explained in a holistic way. By the end of the course, you should be able to understand the theoretical principles of possession and ownership that make up the foundation of property law and how to apply the various doctrines and principles derived from case law to solve problems involving conflicting claims and evaluate current elements of the law through a critical lens. The course is taught by Alexander Pletsch, an Ontario barrister & solicitor whose practice area focuses on real estate.

Exam Workshop
We concentrate solely on solving exam questions in the exam workshop. In order to attend any of this workshop, students must have completed their studies or taken our intensive classes. Property Law Ontario Barrister & Solicitor, Alexander Pletsch, will be walking candidates through the NCA sample exam posted to the NCA website as of August 2022.
This class includes:
3 hour live session
Past NCA sample exam papers – Going through past exam questions and assisting you as to how to answer them
Opportunity to submit a written answer to an assigned question and have your instructor grade it and offer you feedback
Students may have the opportunity to work in small groups on an assigned task under the instructor’s guidance
