Alia Besharat

Alia is an Associate at Monkhouse Law and a barrister and solicitor licenced by the Law Society of Ontario. She obtained her LL.B. from the University of Leicester in the United Kingdom and her B.A. (Hons) in International Relations from Glendon College – York University. She articled at a boutique family law firm in Toronto and worked as an associate at a full service litigation firm prior to joining Monkhouse.

During law school, Alia was an active member of the Canadian Law Society and participated in several moot competitions. She works to give back to her community and is an active member of Young Women in Law. Alia enjoys exploring Toronto’s food scene and was bitten by the travel bug some time ago so be sure to ask about her most recent adventure.
