On September 23rd, the NCA announced a revised October 2020 exam timetable, moving some of the NCA exams roughly 12 days before they were originally scheduled. These changes have a significant impact on many candidates writing their exams. It affects NCA Tutor™ students registered in three of our exam workshops: Professional Responsibility, Foundations of Canadian Law, and Property Law. Those students will find that they are now writing their exams before the exam workshops were scheduled to take place or within one day of the exam in the case of property law.
We have written a petition to the NCA to request they reconsider the decision to move the exams to earlier dates and have suggested that moving them forward to November would have a lesser impact on many candidates. While we await their response, we will be sending out notices to students enrolled in the above three subjects with tentative alternate dates for our exam workshops in case the NCA does not accept our petition.
The new NCA exam timetable is set out below. Have you been affected by the changes in the timetable? Let us know in the comments section below.
