I wrote one of my NCA exams on Monday August 17, 2020 and this is my experience with the online NCA August 2020 examination @MonitorEDU.

Will the exam begin on time and how much time prior do I need to login in?

A lot of people have been experiencing delays in their start times or had not received the link to their start time. However, I was lucky and my test started on time. I logged in 15 minutes prior to my start time.

What will the process be like?

The process is quite straight forward. After joining the event sent by MonitorEDU I was directed to the MonitorEDU page where I saw an option to “start test”. Upon clicking on the same I was taken to the page where I had to select my institution. The arrangement of the same was in alphabetical order however NCA was under the letter F. Once I selected the institution I was asked to fill in my personal details after which I was live chatting with my proctor. The proctor sent me a link to access my cellphone camera, upon connecting she asked me to do a quick scan of the room I was sitting in and my desktop arrangement.

How does the process work?

After being satisfied with my room arrangement, the proctor sent me another link to access the webcam on my laptop. Thereafter she sent me a link to read the NCA Candidate Agreement before I start my test. Upon completion of reading the same I was to either “Accept” or “Decline”. This page also had an access code which the proctor sent me upon my accepting the agreement. I was then sent a user ID and password to login to the test. The user ID and password was my registered email ID with NCA and the password is the NCA candidate number.

Upon entering the same I could access the test. The timer is set for 4 hours and it started immediately once I had logged in to my account.

What happens if you don’t press submit at the end of the test?

I did not manage to click the submit button at the end of my test since the timer went off on its own however the proctor told me that I should not worry about the same and that it would all have been submitted.

Can you go to the bathroom?

Yes, on taking the proctors permission you can.
